BCN - AWR COMPETITIONS

The competition asked to project a temporary pavilion, inside Barcelona’s Port Vell. This area represents a strategic point both for tourists and for citizens. In order to have a strong impact combined with fluidity of fluxes and functional flexibility, we conceived the pavilion as a huge mechanical - monster -, inspired by Barcelona fantastic architecture. The - monster - as we mean it, instead of being repulsive or just a strange creature to observe, as a paradox, excites curiosity encouraging people to interact and to learn enjoying the pleasure of exploring the city.
